Every Wednesday we have a fun program for kids age 5-11 called Young Explorers. There is a learning activity, a craft project and a snack. Visits from the Fire Dept., learning about alligators, and talking about turtles are just some of the themes for this summer. Children enjoy the activites outside at the picnic tables.

An adult must remain on the grounds but you can enjoy our museum or feel free to relax  under the beautiful live oaks. No reservation needed.

9:00 a.m.--10:30 a.m.

On Thursdays we offer our popular History Walks. You'll hear about some of the persons and events that shaped our area. There's an entertaining mix of history, legends, and lore spanning early Native Americans, the Golden Age of Pirates, the Revolution, and the Civil War, right up to more modern times when the IntraCoastal Waterway was dredged to the early days of Sunset Beach.

Tour is approximately 90 minutes and we will provide water. Call 910-363-6585 to reserve your spot or send us an email here. Tours are limited to 10 persons. Please reserve by Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. $5.00 donation per person (children under 12 free).
